Paul Jennings (Course Director)
Since leaving education, Paul worked as a professional musician until accepting the appointment at Truro. Although a classically trained pianist and graduate, his 35 years experience in performing has included most other styles of music from jazz to heavy rock

He has worked as a performer, bandleader and musical director in venues all around the world and is still an active performer on piano, bass and vocals. Paul has worked as an engineer, producer, session musician and programmer in many top recording studios and his keen interest in recording techniques and the use of computers in music found him also acting as an advisor for many studios and theatres.

Jon Fry (BMus, PGCE)


Jon is responsible for the music theory and composition lectures, and has an extensive history of performance. Jon started playing the keyboard at the age of eight with guidance from his grandmother.
In his early teens he got his first guitar. Largely self-taught, it was not until later in life that he studied music formally at university.
Jon has been a guitarist/composer for most of his career, touring nationally with progressive bands ‘In Watermelon Sugar’ and ‘The Connection’ and doing session work for music production companies and television.

 

Robbie Brokenshire – (Drum/Percussion Lecturer)
Robbie started drumming at the age of seven. Throughout his school career he played in many bands, performing various styles of music, as well as studying piano, guitar and percussion - all adding to his future career in music.Gaining an Honours Degree in music at Middlesex University gave
  Robbie the impetus to leave the country to work as a musician for various cruise lines. For the next four years his home was the high seas, as the drummer in various bands, performing with many and varied prestigious acts. He is still a regular live performer and has a steady line of session work, although this is mostly on dry land now.
Kerry Polglase - (Vocal / Performance Tutor)
 

Kerry is an accomplished performer both vocally and instrumentally and after leaving Leeds College of Music, she worked extensively as a musician all around Europe, the Middle East and for several years in Japan.

Kerry’s main responsibility is for the vocal coaching but is also involved in many of the performance and theoretical elements of the course. .

In addition to her full teaching schedule, Kerry is still very active as a performer and makes regular appearances at Jazz, Country and Rock venues
